|Know what to do in the event of an emergency. Inform your child about basic steps they should take if something happens. They should know who to call in an emergency, where to turn (and who to ask for help) if they are lost, and what allergies they have. You may also want to consider giving them a Pocket.doc to keep in their backpack to serve as a road map for just this kind of thing.|
