If your child finds it difficult to get up in the morning, start enforcing a bedtime! Make it one half hour earlier a night until you see a change in their morning energy level. Starting an early bedtime before school starts is a better idea! -

Teach your kids to give back. It can mean they help out at the food pantry, do a canned goods drive, even help an elderly neighbor with their yard work. Just teach your kids to give back and be appreciative of what they have. -

On a weekly basis, make sure your kids go through their school papers and choose what to keep for studying. Have a binder or document box for these papers so you child will know where to find them. -

Get in the habit of talking with your kids about their day, friends, classes, teachers, etc. This will help you get ahead of any problems such as bullying, poor grades, drugs, etc. and will reinforce to them that no matter what, you will listen to them. -
