- “Being organized and able to multi-task are the secrets to any woman’s success.”

I have a 5-week calendar on my wall in the kitchen where most things get written down – everything from schedules to appointments and even plans with friends. Everyone in the house has their own colored marker so that we can easily figure out who needs to be where. I also keep a personal calendar that I carry with me and a calendar for my au pair, as well, which I update with the things she is responsible for. Despite all of this, I still forget a lot of stuff.

Gina Bernstein feeds figures into Buttoned Up’s financial spreadsheets that cause them to twist and shout with excitement. As the mother of three children under the age of 10, a CPA with her own tax practice and the managing partner of a commercial Real Estate investment venture, Gina personifies the young, multi-tasking mom who has to stay organized to stay happy!
Gina has a Masters in Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, and was a rising star for ten years as a management consultant for Ernst & Young, where she managed multi-million dollar accounts, leading them to streamline their financial organizations.
The daughter and granddaughter of Iowa farmers, Gina is a strong believer in staying grounded and surrounded with family and friends and staying healthy through good food and running regularly. She lives in Ann Arbor and when not working at Buttoned Up, she spends her time with her husband Michael, a plastic surgery resident at the University of Michigan Hospital and their three children Ethan, Sammy and Sage.

I love Facebook because it gives me an organized window into the lives of many of my favorite people. I feel like I know what is happening in their lives and they know what is happening in mine.

Everyone in my house is a fan of this product. We keep it on the kitchen counter, and each member of the family-husband, au pair, and kids-is empowered to add to the list throughout the week. It means less work for me all around – less time spent making the list, and less time shopping. Who knew such a bright and sunny little pad could be such a lifesaver?

I love giving gift cards to my childrens' teachers and know that others do too. Now, I not only give them a great gift card, but put it in a GiftCard.log. It’s such a great gift in and of itself. I love that it makes it easier to keep track of gift cards and, more importantly, the credit amount you have on each one.

I am cool and collected in general. But the one time I was in a car accident, I was a wreck (literally and figuratively)! In my panicked state, I didn’t really gather all of the information I should have. Now I keep a Collision.kit in the glove compartment of my car – and I know that no matter what happens, I’ll have something to guide me through the steps I need to take and the information I need to gather.

My all time favorite product is the Tax.filer. As a CPA, I have a special affinity for tax season! In addition to helping you get your paperwork organized for April 15th, I just love the idea that it helps you stay organized over the 7 years you have to keep your information handy in case of an audit.
