This is so true! I’m a SAHM to 3 under 4.5 with another on the way. I’ve pretty much worked full time outside the home for the past 6 yrs and have recently quit. We struggled at first, but with a few minor adjustments, and a change in the way we think, we’re so much more happier, relaxed, organised and surprisingly, we’re doing better financially 🙂
Thanks for the great post 🙂

That’s amazing, Tubbah!  You have your hands full, and I love how you have not only simplified your life by not working outside the home, but you have made yourself happier and richer.  Now that’s what I call a win-win-win!

    Thanks for writing in,
    Amy

    Hi Amy,
Terrific post:) Some of my happiest moments cost almost no money at all — like drawing with chalk (under $1) in the driveway with my kids, or drinking a piping-hot cup of homemade coffee (well under $1) on my front porch on a warm summer night. On the topic of saving money by having a small but well-edited wardrobe, here is a post on the topic by Rachel Meeks over at Small Notebook that hit the nail on the head: http://smallnotebook.org/2011/04/05/how-to-manage-your-wardrobe-with-common-sense/Cheers,Nihara
