Thanks so very much for a much over looked checklist .

Having lived with Lupus for over 18 years, I can attest to the importance of laughter. I also know the importance of giving yourself just a break. I also have 2 kids with special education needs. I value the ability to give myself a 1-minute time out when they get me all worked up. It gives me a chance to calm down.

@98b6a7aeeb4beb8bc78e80ab9f893e7c:disqus – yes, sometimes we grownups need those time outs too! Sending big hugs your way – your ability to gracefully manage not just a chronic illness but children with special needs is inspiring.

@041d022a32885290b1f5f26cb7516ae8:disqus – you are welcome — we hope it was helpful. I wrote this with my mom (Dr Margaret Smith), who has since passed away, so in a way this is a bit of her legacy still living on, which fills me with happiness.

Hi Sarah-this was so helpful! Having been chronically ill with Celiac for years before being diagnosed (and seeing many, many, MD’s!) I would have loved to have seen this earlier but will implement it even now because I find it difficult to keep my entire family straight in my head! I even forgot my son had a severe sensitivity to penicillin once and we started a med for strep….amoxicillin. Terrible rash. A great app for medicine tracking and allergies and interactions is by drugs.com. You can set daily reminders too. They also have a desktop site to create an account. Thanks to you for the tips.
