To Throw Away or Not to Throw Away?

Every once in awhile Will brings something so hideous home from school that I fall in love with it.
This “turkey” that looks like some feathers threw up on a hair ball has been sitting on my kitchen island for weeks. I haven’t been able to bring myself to toss it. But I am quite sure that 20 years from now, if I handed it back to Will, he’d toss it without even thinking about it.
What’s a mom to do?
