I went through an almost exact situation 10 yrs ago when my husband was hit head on by a drunk driver. He was not expected to live we even had filled out the organ donation forms. He fell into a coma and remained that way for 5 weeks and even had 7 surgeries while in a coma. We had just moved him to a longer care head injury unit when he just woke up. As your article said that was the end of the uncertianty of the crisis but began a year long recovery which included daily therepy. I to had to get my husband ready for his rehab at the same time as I got my kids ready for school and myself ready for work.
When I think back on those times I often wonder how I did it but I also had one of those moments when a strange peace just came over me and I knew it (whatever it was) was gonna be OK.
You put what I experienced into words so perfectly.
I can’t wait to read your book.
Hey maybe I’ll win it here!

I would love to read this book!! I’ll keep my eye out for it (or hopefully win it!). Bob’s story is fascinating – but Lee’s is even more so.

Well, I’ll be… “Perfectly Imperfect” is my motto! I’ll definitely need to get a copy of this book! 😉
